Some questions answered...
Do I get a chance to meet you before we start?
I offer an initial 30 minute appointment free of charge. This is so that we can meet and discuss your counselling requirements and to see if we both feel we can work together and if this is the right time for you to undertake counselling.
Are our sessions confidential?
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice (available to view at www.bacp.co.uk). In accordance with this, I attend on-going professional supervision to discuss issues that are relevant to our work together. All notes and discussions will keep your identity anonymous.
How much does each session last and how much does it cost?
Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes at a cost of £45 per session, payable at the end of the session. Payment can be made either by cash or cheque, payable to Elizabeth Moore.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed is entirely up to you but it can often take a few sessions for counselling to start making a difference.
I can work short term (6-12 sessions) or longer term (12 sessions plus), it is up to you.
How frequently do we need to meet?
For counselling to be beneficial it requires some commitment on a regular basis, ideally once a week.
I work from private, comfortable rooms located at The Eaves in the centre of Farnham and Godalming. There is plenty of parking in the area.
